I was responsible for the design of the 50th anniversary novelty items for Fujita Co., Ltd., a metalworking company based in Takaoka, Toyama.
The company specializes in aluminum machining, supporting manufacturing sites through mold production, thin-wall processing, and precision measurement. It is also a unique company that operates an art gallery, Factory Art Museum TOYAMA. As a way to embody the possibilities of 5-axis machining, we designed a new type of ruler and a cable management tool as gifts for their clients.
The ruler features a slimmer, more refined form compared to conventional metal rulers. Its inclined shape allows it to measure groove widths as well, introducing a new approach to measurement.
The cable management tool is machined from a single piece of aluminum, with horizontal holes integrated into the design, offering a clean and elegant way to organize cables on a desk.
In addition, we designed the packaging and communication materials, such as letters, using a black and silver color scheme to express precision and a sincere attitude toward craftsmanship.
