New Japanese tableware that suits any style

Many objects known as tableware are primarily used for eating Japanese food, and most have a foot and a shape that derives from the Japanese eating behavior of lifting the table with the hands.
However, with rapid economic growth and globalization, modern Japanese people now eat a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese foods, and also eat frozen foods and prepared foods purchased from convenience stores and supermarkets. In other words, they have become an omnivorous culture centered around Japanese food.
To accommodate this modern Japanese food culture, we sought to create a new type of Japanese tableware that can be used in a variety of styles, and this is how we came up with ONE.
The exterior is extremely simple and modern, matching the multi-purpose nature of one piece of tableware and contemporary Western-style interiors. The foot is hidden inside, making it difficult for the user to see, and the distinctive reverse taper between the foot and the vessel creates a shape that fits the fingers perfectly.
The finish is made from 100-year-old Mizume cherry tree. The finish is made with lacquer (black and gray) and urethane paint, creating a design that will permanently blend with your interior.
