FANTASMA

A gentle ghost that quietly watches over you from morning to night.

This aroma diffuser, shaped like a friendly ghost, brings relaxation just by being there.

Developed by Original Kolor Design, an original brand by the plastics manufacturer OK Kasei, this product was unveiled as part of the “+STORIES” project — a collaboration between product designers and the company to explore the future of plastics.

It utilizes bio-PET and features a color design that makes it appear as if it’s floating when placed. The body gradually changes in thickness, creating a beautiful gradient: from a nearly transparent hue in thin areas to deeper color tones where the material is thicker. A frosted additive was blended in to give a softly blurred, slightly cloudy appearance that enhances the sense of warmth.

The top is thick and heavy, while the bottom is cut into a gentle curve. This gives the diffuser a high center of gravity and large moment of inertia — much like a metronome — allowing it to sway easily. Inside, there is a structure that holds cotton. By letting the cotton absorb aroma oil and gently rocking the diffuser, the fragrance diffuses softly throughout the space.

Plastic is often associated with a cold impression. However, in pursuit of a warm, organic expression for the future, we intentionally kept the subtle color variations and tiny air bubbles inside the material, treating them as individual characteristics rather than flaws.

Place it on your desk, by your bedside, or anywhere you’d like to pause and take a breath.
