In a rapidly changing society, mass production is no longer suitable for social systems. There are many reasons, but I think there are two main reasons. First, due to the decline in the birth rate in developed countries, it is impossible to create new demand; For the second reason, the supply of products in such a society has reached saturation. The current problem lies in the production and sales cycle of producing more than demand and selling cheaply if they are left, and those methods have remained unchanged for decades at the expense of the environment. In recent years, the concept of digital fabrication has emerged worldwide to bring one answer to this problem. The idea is to use new production technologies, such as 3D printers, to create new products that suit you only, which you can not have with mass production. We decided to think about products that can be produced by digital fabrication considered by designers with the aim of "reducing the impact on the environment by producing only what we need". And this pen is our first product. Twisting an inorganic square column to create an organic form. The motif is the processing found in iron fences in Europe in the Middle Ages.
